Religion stimulates a wide range of reactions: from awe and humility to sarcasm and mockery. What aspects of religion do we find amusing? What inspires a desire to ridicule? On May 7 we will explore several traditional religious themes – arriving at the Pearly Gates, Noah and the Ark, life in heaven, and others – as viewed by cartoonists. Of course, people laugh at different things, so there will be something to offend everyone.

This Sunday, we again meet at our new location. The One Roof Central Hillside Community Center is at the corner of 4th St. East and N. Lake Street. There is an off-road parking lot accessible from 4th Street and plenty of street parking in the area. Thanks to our Christian friends, street parking is free on Sundays.
As always, the doors open at 9:30 am for socializing with your free thinking friends. The meeting begins at 10:00 am and is usually wrapped up by about 11:30. Why not come out on the first Sunday of each month to support downtown Duluth and Freedom from Religion.
