Sunday, March 6th @ Scholastica
Have you every wondered how atheists and agnostics get their ethics, if they don’t believe in a father god with all the answers? Me, neither. But other people do wonder about that, a lot. And we sometimes want to explain ourselves to friends and family or colleagues and neighbors. So this Sunday we’ll hear a panel of freethinkers describe the sources of their ethics, whether they see them as universal or just their own personal truths. A question and answer session will follow (well, questions, at least … we’re not big on answers).
We meet at Somers Lounge, which is the first building you encounter after entering the campus of the College of St. Scholastica from the College Street entrance. The doors open at 9:30 am and the meeting begins at 10:00 am. We will be social distancing (four to a table) and, because we believe in science, will be vaccinated. After the presentation, those who are interested can gather in the cafeteria one floor below for a breakfast buffet and stimulating conversation.
