Lora Wedge is a community leader with a background in social change work and a M.A. in Consciousness and Transformative Studies. She teaches as adjunct faculty at the University of Minnesota Duluth and is the COO of Ecolibrium3 where she helps direct the organization’s climate change work.

Mike Overend is a nearly retired veterinarian who practiced with his smarter, beautiful and nearly retired wife and partner veterinarian for 34 years in Two Harbors and Grand Marais. Mike and Lucy raised two above average children and we all love the outdoors and the natural world. Mike and Lucy are transitioning to full time volunteer action to create smart and effective State and Federal policy for Climate Solutions that benefit all of our children and their future generations as well as the animals that share our world because there is no Planet B.

Linda Crumpton is the Vice-Chair of Lake Superior Freethinkers. Since retiring from working at the Cloquet Library, Linda has been a major contributor to the group. She is also a well known local musician, playing traditional Irish music with groups like Rigadoo all through the Twin Ports area.

Charles Gessert is the Treasurer of Lake Superior Freethinkers. He has been very active with charitable groups in the region since retiring as research director at Essentia Health and is sought after as a speaker and presenter.

Bill Guse is the recently retired owner of Bob’s Cabins and has served Lake Superior Freethinkers for many years in different roles such as FFRF liaison and host/emcee. Retirement has given him time to think about the stories we all tell ourselves and how they construct our experiences of reality.
